The Front Headlock position is a position that beginning wrestlers can use to score points and build confidence from day one and the most advanced wrestlers can use to force their offense on opponents and score offensively and defensively. Without mastering the Front Headlock position it will be difficult for any wrestler to ever learn how to “Break” their opponent.
The above points are what make this position the most important position in neutral wrestling. The system that I have developed in the Front Headlock position was developed from my years training under Coach Gable with a high school coaches twist. I want my first year wrestlers scoring points immediately from the neutral position and I want my State Champs wrestling an in-your-face Iowa Style. With the correct attitude, this system will teach wrestlers all of these skills.
If you are not a Front Headlock person then you are missing a big piece of the puzzle. I guarantee this series will help wrestlers of all skill levels score more points, get more pins and have more success. I am firm believer that high school and youth wrestlers need to learn techniques in systems that flow together, rather then one move at a time. The series of holds taught in this series will teach wrestlers to chain wrestle and smother opponents. With this series when your opponent counters one hold it will open the door for another scoring opportunity.
